IMPACT ON CAMPERS

I'm sure DEM appreciates the understanding and patience of all campers as they work to enhance the camping experience at Burlingame State Campground. Some campsites located nearby construction zones will temporary look as if they’re closed for good. After construction is complete, campsites will be reconstructed.  Here's what to expect during bathroom reconstruction :

  • Reduced Campsite and Cabin Availability: The number of reservable campsites will decrease until the 2027 camping season to establish safe work zones.
  • Construction Noise: Campers should expect to hear the common noises of construction equipment and traffic from construction vehicles on weekdays (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) throughout the 2026 camping season. No construction is anticipated on weekends or holidays.
  • Affected Areas: Please refer to the map of impacted shower/restroom facilities and adjacent campsites during the 2026 camping season. Please review the maps carefully when making reservations to understand potential impacts.
  • Policies: Note that regular campground policies will be in effect for cancellations, refunds, and reservation changes.

Orange areas are closed to camping and traffic during the 2026 season. Beach/swimming closed.
